Behind every Scholarship is a Story of Resilience, Hope, and Transformation: One Love Salone Foundation Fully Funded Scholarship Scheme
Following the completion of both internal and external engagements, between October 30th and December 8th 2023, One Love Salone Foundation advertised a Fully Funded Scholarship Scheme for eligible Sierra Leonean Students; who for any financial reason, are not in a position to pay their tuitions fees on their own, and are in need of scholarship opportunity to pursue undergraduates’ programs in Sierra Leone, through the various social media outlets across Sierra Leone, including WhatsApp, Facebook, Newspapers etc.

The One Love Salone Foundation Scholarship Scheme was born out of a heartfelt desire to bridge the gap between ambition and access. Fully sponsor by Hon. Mohamed Sidie Tunis, former Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, and Mrs. Nabeela Tunis, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, as a personal and philanthropic initiative to support higher education in Sierra Leone. The initiative reflects their shared belief that education is the most powerful tool for transformation at both personal and national level.

After a careful verification exercises conducted by the Foundation, the following institutions were approved as direct beneficiary universities / colleges to the One Love Salone Foundation Scholarship Scheme:
- Fourah Bay College (FBC)
- College of Medicine & Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS)
- Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM)
- Njala University (NU)
- Eastern Technical University (ETU)
- Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT)
- University of Makeni (UNIMAK)
- Milton Margai Technical University (MMTU)
- Central University Mile 91
- Earnest Bai Koroma University (EBK)
- TVET Institutions

The scheme aims to elevate the country’s literacy rate, positioning Sierra Leonean students competitively on the national stage through a fully funded scholarship scheme. The initiative is not only geared to providing tuition fees but also enhancing academic competitiveness for students who are direct beneficiaries to the scheme and as well as potential beneficiaries through outstanding academic achievements, community involvement and leadership skills.

The scholarship scheme was unveiled with a pledge of 10 billion Leones (approximately $500,000 USD) over five years. This initiative aims to enhance human capital investment through education and elevate Sierra Leone’s literacy rate globally. The scholarship scheme’s primary objectives include:
